Welcome aboard!

So, where do we start. The goal is "adults having fun". All are welcome until they prove themselves unwelcome.
The guild boasts over 900 members currently. Roughly 600+ have been online within the last week. Between 25 and 65 are online at any given time.

Here are the basic rules:

  1. Don't be a dick. (Yes, I know, this is not specific. But that's partly because the members of the guild get to decide what this means.)
  2. No racism, no sexism, no shitty or shameful behavior.
  3. Maintain "some" maturity in Guild chat. jokes and banter are allowed within reason. (If someone else says "That's inappropriate" please respect that.)
  4. Maintain "much more" maturity in General chat, Global chat, or when grouped with other players. (FYI, about the only thing that will get you immediately kicked from the guild is spouting racist or sexist crap in Global chat. Consider this your one warning.)
  5. Address issues with other players privately through officers. (Discord is terrific for this.)
  6. Screenshot, screenshot, screenshot. If the officers do not have images or logs it's almost impossible to figure out what was going on.
  7. Please don’t take things from the guild bank to resell.
  8. Second chances granted on a case-by-case basis.


Other notable things:

  • Discord is required for guild raiding. (You don't have to talk, but you need to be able to listen.)
  • We have had to split the guild into two because we hit the member cap. <The Kinda Flat Society> is 1-67, and <The Flat Azertoh Society> is 68+. If you have a compeling reason to be in the other guild just let up know, this is not a "hard and fast" rule. (IE. My SO is joining and is level 10 and I want to put my level 80 in the leveling guild, etc.)
  • We are trying to use a global channel to talk back and forth between the "main" and "leveling" guilds. "/join FASchat" to join. You should change the color so it doesn;t get lost in the chat shuffle.
  • Raiding specific rules, and the addons need to raid can be found here: Raiding Rules (Discord)
  • Any number of alts are allowed. Please tag them in the public guild notes so we know who you are. (Social Menu (O), "Guild" tab, Click yourself, "Note:")
  • You get a guild repair budget. (Varies depending on rank)
  • Feel free to take what you need from the guild bank.
  • Tab 5 in the main guild is being managed by "Roflpie" to help new 80s gear up for raids. The things there are for sale at "AH price - 25%". Message Roflpie directly in-game or on Discord for more information.
  • Tab 6 should be used for donations. In the leveling guild users can take from tab 6.
  • Everyone can invite more people. So bring your friends. (Use "/ginvite NAME" to add someone to the guild)
  • All classes/specs/levels are welcome. We have space for everyone.
  • The guild is run as democratically as we are capable of. If you don't like how something is managed, say something. 😊
  • We are trying to not remove folks for inactivity as much as possible. Right now we are only removing characters that have been inactive for 3+ months AND do not have a public note saying they will be away. (IE. If you're joing the Peace Corps for 6 months just put that in your public note and you'll be fine. 😊)
  • Please try to remember that if you take on a responsibility and you no longer want it, or it doesn't work out, that's perfectly okay. So don't be afraid to try being a raid leader, or helping out in some other way. We want folks to "give till it feels good", without worry of failing. 😊

Recruiting
We now have a custom recruiting spammer.
This was written by Lasivian/Senlis. It spams one random recruiting message every 15 minutes to General/Global/Trade/LFG.
It can be toggled on/off and has multiple safeguards. It watches for members people using it so it doesn't over-spam, checks what channel and area you are in, if you are AFK, and only works if you are in the guild.
