Shamelessly stolen from ehre: https://www.reddit.com/r/wowservers/comments/uhbr0a/wotlk_dungeon_guide_for_beginners/

As a rule of thumb, always focus and interrupt casters. This goes for all dungeons.

  • Nexus - focus Scale Binders and Ascendants first. LoS pull the pack before the frozen boss or you'll chainpull everything. Don't stand in front of Enforcers - they cleave. Move or jump on Keristrasza to remove the stacking frost aura.
  • Utgarde Keep - focus Runecasters. Dispel or spellsteal their flame rune. Stack on blood prince to make tombs and skeletons easier to handle. Stack on the duo boss to avoid getting Charged. As a tank, sidestep Ingvar's smash (it's a frontal cone), stop casting during Staggering Roar.
  • Azjol-Nerub - as a tank, focus Skirmishers because they reset aggro often. Cleanse Hadronox's leeching poison (it heals him) and move out of the green poison clouds. Step inside Anub'Arak's circle because it closes after pull. Don't stand in front of Anub'Arak and move out of the shifting ground during submerge.
  • Old Kingdom - as a tank, wait for the patrolling packs before the first and second room or you'll chainpull everything and wipe. Always focus and interrupt the casters - their Shadow Blast does 80% of the target's HP. It can be reflected. Stack on first boss to make killing adds easier. Use retribution aura/thorns to make them kill themselves. Stack on last boss and unequip your weapons when he starts casting Insanity to reduce the damage your own illusion does to your team, then equip it back. Use your survival and self-healing spells and kill the healer last.
  • Violet Hold - always focus Portal Keepers until they are dead, ignoring the small adds that appear. As a tank, be ready to pick up the small adds or people will die. The longer the keeper is alive, the more adds that will come. Don't use crystals on Portal Keepers. Waves get bigger after 2nd boss. If you get Xevozz (purple ethereal) as one of the bosses, kite him away from the orbs that follow him or he will buff up and wipe you.
  • Drak'tharon Keep - focus Necromancers, move out of circular shadow zones on the ground, don't pull the entire first room no matter how good/geared you think you are. As a tank, use defensive cooldowns on the T-rex. He uses fear, so be prepared to break it. Upstairs before last boss, there will be 2+2 death knights and 1 patrolling - if you're not careful with how you pull, the 1 patrol can chainpull the 2 in the back, resulting in a wipe.
  • Gundrak - interrupt Mammoth boss, don't stand in front of the elemental boss, move out of purple puddles, move away or LoS when the snake boss starts casting Poison Nova, don't pull all mammoth riders before last boss or you'll die/kill your healer. As melee, move away from last boss when he starts spinning or you'll die.
  • Oculus - many people hate this dungeon, but when done correctly it's actually the second fastest dungeon after Azjol-Nerub. As a tank, make sure you have aggro on whelps or your healer will die. Interrupt the casters' Arcane Volley. After you kill the first boss, talk to one of the 3 NPCs that come out of the cages and select a dragon by clicking "I want to fly on the wings of the X flight". Open your bags and right-click the icon with a dragon's head. Fly up to the middle ring. Clear the middle ring, then fly to the side platforms. On Mage Lord, hide behind the pillars when he teleports and starts casting Arcane Explosion or you'll die. On last boss, Red - spam 1 and use 2+3 when you get 5-10 stacks, Emerald - keep 1 on boss the whole time, use 2 for big damage, use 3 to heal other drakes, Bronze - your job is NOT damage, just spam 3 until you get 10 stacks, then click 1, use 2 when boss enrages or when whelps become too much. When boss shifts and becomes immune, everyone move away from the flying orbs or you'll die.
  • Halls of Stone - Krystallus is just 5-man Gruul. When he knocks you back, make sure you're far from everyone or you'll die. Right before Maiden of Grief casts Shock of Sorrow, you should step into one of her black zones to break the CC. The Protectors on the Brann event have Charge and cleave, so make sure to stand far behind your tank. Move away from Lightning Nova on last boss or you'll die.
  • Halls of Lightning - ignore the adds on first boss, they're bugged and don't heal him like they should. Ignore the adds on second boss and just nuke him. Move close together in the statue hallway. When the lightning revenant boss casts Disperse, run away. Move away from others if he casts a lightning debuff on you. The big patrolling guys with the spears have Charge - stack together and they won't be able to use it. Runeshapers have a bladestorm-like attack which can be interrupted like a normal spell. On Loken, everyone stack and healer make sure everyone is topped before Lightning Nova finishes casting.
  • Culling of Stratholme - focus Necromancers, not Abominations. Dispel the poison the crypt stalkers will use on the tank - it does 15% HP per tick. Stick with your team or you'll fall behind. No one cares about your mana - you'll drink after a boss dies. Use retribution aura/thorns through the entire dungeon.
  • Utgarde Pinnacle - kill the 3 banshees that the first boss spawns to free the person from the ritual. CC the wolves when they Fixate (immune to Taunt) on someone or they'll die. On Skadi, turn your camera up so you can see on which side his drake will use frost breath. Right-click the harpoons that drop on the ground and right-click on the harpoon guns when Skadi gets in front of them. Move away from Skadi when he starts spinning or you'll die. Interrupt Necromancers' Shadow Bolt Volley. Stop attacking or use dispel / purge / shield slam / tranquilizing shot / spellsteal Bane from last boss or you'll die.

This is it for now. Read it, pin it to your browser and remember it next time you do a dungeon. Most of the time there is a wipe, it's either the DPS slacking or the tank being bad. Healers have very little agency in this game and their job is just to fill health bars, dispel stuff and watch their mana.
